Fan clutch might be bad. It can't pull enough air through the radiator at low speeds, but at highway speeds, there's no overheating. Keep the level up in the reservoir tank, park headed up hill, release the radiator cap, and"burp" the coolant system by allowing air to rise from the engine and vent out the radiator. After a few minutes of running, fill to correct level with CORRECT COOLANT and cap the radiator. Air in the system can cause boiling as shown.

You most likely air in the system, open up bleeder valves, also u can open up rad cap before starting car and when fluid starts coming out and after bubbles come out put rad cap on.

a lot of factors. head gasket leak, radiator cap issue, thermostat, leak on the water cooling hose or mechanism, if your radiator does not have a cap on it them try to change the reservoir cap and hope that it would resolve the issue.

Just fixed this in my 2004 lancer!! I NEEDED a new radiator, fan, termostate and Flush the coolant system!!

It could be a leak in the water pump... or the radiator or radiator hose.
Jack up the car, keep the engine running, and check for coolant leaks underneath.

Head Gaskit leaking pressure into cooling system. That is back pressure. if not fix the pressure will usually blow your radiator open at its weakest point, usually under the fill cap.

If you go over the exact level the fluid is supposed to be it will overheat DO NOT go above the line, I barley was over it started boiling I went back down to the line and hasn't since

what if the reservoir tank always looks empty but its not leaking. and i filled it up once just to see it empty a again a few week later. (the car has never over heated) have owned it for almsot 10yrs n i hardly ever add coolant since it never overheats. but is that normal for reservoir tank to be empty all the time?

Could the reservoir cap not being tightened enough also cause this?

that was happening in my 2005 jeep liberty. i just fixed it by getting another overflow cap. if you do it yourself, make sure it is the correct psi

My civic recently started doing this... replaced cap and still does it. No overheating, just boiling coolant getting pushed out. Loose Resevoir cap can cause this? Also whats vest way to check if its a headgasket without tearing it down?

Hye, my radiator is keep on discharging coolant into spare tank. Even many parts has changed (new radiator, new thermostat, new radiator hose, new radiator cap) but the radiator still discharging coolant into spare tank.
