Boosting your MW signal using an external antenna.
The green wire is about 7 turns of insulated wire about 100mm in diameter. It can be inductively coupled to the inbuilt ferrite rod loop antenna in your radio.
Here I am using a larger ferrite rod antenna of 200mm and a variable capacitor in an LC circuit ( the blue box). You can use an outdoor L antenna. The other end of the green 7 turn coupling loop can be connected to an earth (ground) wire. This may improve your reception.
