Parents May Be Charged in Shooting By 6-Year-Old at VA School

Police chief Steve R. Drew discussed the possibility of charging the parents of the 6-year-old student who shot a teacher at a Newport News, VA, elementary school on Jan 6.

According to Drew, the shooting by the 6-year-old was an ‘intentional’ act. The handgun used by the child was legally purchased by his mother and stored inside the family’s home. (warning: distressing)

The mother needs to be charged as she obviously did NOT have that weapon properly secured... any home with kids needs to assume there kids may try to take/use the weapon and KEEP IT LOCKED UP, this is one reason people want guns taken from the general public because to many gun owners are not responsible gun owners...

A six-year-old child should not be as violent and out of control as that child is. We all know the problem was the parents. Something happened and I’m assuming happened often to that child or he witnessed violence often to put him in that state of mind.

It’s a shame what going on with the violence in our nations schools!! It not even possible to teach anymore!! America should be ashamed!! Our Government needs needs to STAND UP and do better !! This is happening everywhere and everyday in our educational system !!! Kids and teachers are suffering!! Teachers need full 💯 percent support!!
