It is a blessing for Germany citizens, not a mistake, that Germany depends very on the nearest Russian natural gas under Angela Mekel. Germany and EU's support for US to manipulate destroy Russian economy rather than diplomatically managing the Ukraine war appears to be the big issue.

When the war started, Germany closed its airspace to weapons deliveries for Ukraine.
One would've thought the Kremlin would appreciate that "act of sabotage" and
reciprocate by increasing the gas.
But we all know Germany was finally shamed into supplying heavy weapons,
and consequently undid the good work of its previous "collaborationist position".

It’s best for Germany to prepare for Russia shutting down the pipeline for longer, if it doesn’t happen then it’s a bonus but, it’s best to prepare for it, like the reporter said, Putin right now is very unpredictable.

Russia's Vassal State is also threatening to cut off Gas as well. The EU needs to give the Uk a Russian Style deal.
