WHAT IF you could have PoC cellular coverage and VHF radio in one device? That way, you'd have VHF if the grid goes down, plus all the cool PoC features and group comms over cell towers. Thoughts? Maybe I need to make a separate video on this!

Hi Eric,
I just Liked and Subscribed for a few reasons.
Your presentation was very informative without being too lengthy or pushy.
I had to do research on other brands to find all the information (mainly drawbacks) and you laid it out for us.
You gave actual demonstrations that were better than any words could ever do.
You are a Veteran and thank you for your service!
Most of all YOU SOLD ME from this video and that's something that is very hard to do!
I witnessed honesty and enthusiasm in your review.
Thanks Eric, if they were smart, they would contact you to be a spokesperson.

I have 2 Rapid Radios for about 8 months, I will NOT renew after the year. Their customer service is horrible, if you say anything negative they will not respond and even block you on social media. On their YouTube videos they turn off comments Rapid Radios will be out of business within 2 years, horrible business model, I will look into the Talk To Me radios, YOU HEAR THAT RR !!!

After seeing this review I ordered 2 Talk2me a standard and a mini I got radios and had issue and the owner of company Robert called me directly told me any issues ever call me now thats customer service that is missing in most company's its an american company another plus cant wait to test them out when in Canada to USA. And it takes me back to the old CB days have not to dial and be able to talk directly to your partner without dialing and texting is a blessing and able to talk to basically anyone in the world is another plus making new friends and also the emergency channel another plus I am 250 into it and first year of service is free another plus.

I would like a simple answer. If there is absolutely no cell service will this radio work?

Well, there's nothing gained there, if cell service goes down, your down, I see nothing about it other then basically a toy, and that's okay, but nothing fits my prepper needs, basically a public cell phone chat service, lol

Your exuberance is persuasive! Just ordered 2 today. 🤓

I notice there are some "dealers" selling these radios. They claim to be authorized dealers. But they also have added charges. So can can u link us to the exact website or person u purchased urs from plz?
Also...
*Do they charge shipping & handling?

*lets say u purchased 2 more radios. How would you add them to ur "private channel?"
*Is a private channel like ur personal private group?

And if u purchase an extra radio monthly, theoretically u can add that radio to ur private channel? So u can give the new radios to family members and they will be able to talk to u?
* Can the 2025 ultra mini also access the public channels?

Thnx

So hopefully this year, T Mobile, ATT & Verizon will have Direct To Cell service offered. Some phones are already using it.
It would be Awesome if these radios could utilize that same satellite technology. That would boost sales thru the roof i bet.. for the radios & cell phone carriers.
I'm sure it will happen for the radios at some point but the sooner the better right ?!
Good video & very informative !

I got my four radios today. I had trouble setting it up but there is a help channel on the group lists and one of the admins CALLED me and walked me through the set up and how to use the private and public channels by switching the networks. (something that is NOT explained in the manual). Tomorrow I will full use these radios for my business!

My boyfriend and I want to use these for a campground we’ll be working on. The campgrounds are about a mile apart from each other. There’s no internet, and tower to my knowledge or any kind of WiFi. Would these be able to work? Looking for some walkie talkies since our phones won’t work out in the woods.

You can do this with DMR and a DMR hotspot, and there are no monthly or yearly costs. You can get a DMR radio for under $50.

@Do_it_yourself_DUDE Will these connect to wifi? And can we program additional contact via computer ourselves?

You should take a look into the Global PTT 5288. It's a motorola style VoC radio with UHF capabilities as well that comes with a US 1 year plan sim card pre-installed. I'm buying the two pack tomorrow to see how it is

Where I live, cell service and texting sketchy at best. If it weren’t for Wi-Fi calling, I would have to drive a mile to get service. Would these radios work under those conditions?
