The webinar examined Protecting our Planet: The WAZA Sustainability Strategy, and how zoos and aquariums can work towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our panellists shared case studies of how they are currently implementing the Sustainability Strategy within their institutions.
The webinar was hosted by Karen Fifield, WAZA Vice-President, lead author of the WAZA Sustainability Strategy, and CEO of Wellington Zoo. And our panellists included:
• Dr Mark Penning, Vice President Animals, Science and Environment, Disney's Animal Kingdom
• Dr Ox Lennon, Conservation Manager, Wellington Zoo
