Compact Tiny House Designed To Travel New Zealand

This intrepid family sold up their home and began a life of adventure by building a tiny house on wheels which they use to travel New Zealand full time. CJ, Amy-Lee loved to travel but realised they hadn’t seen a lot of their own country. A tiny house on wheels was the perfect way to travel, while keeping a solid place to call home for the family.

Tiny house travel in New Zealand can be a bit of a challenge, as the roads can be quite small and difficult for larger vehicles to navigate. This tiny house has been constructed to be ultra compact, allowing it to easily move on New Zealand roads and allowing CJ and Amy-Lee the ability to travel to some really spectacular and out-of-the-way places!

Clever small space design ideas have been incorporated to ensure that this tiny house is not just practical for travel, but also is a fully functional home for the family of three. The home is off-the-grid and completely self contained allowing the family to be comfortable wherever they park up!

In this video, we also talk about how CJ and Amy-Lee's work in online businesses enables them to fund their travels while living as digital nomads.

I hope you're all staying safe and well! CJ, Amy-Lee and Tilly have found a great, safe location to park up their tiny house during lockdown and the family are doing well. I. hope you enjoy the video tour of their beautiful tiny home on wheels. I think with many more people now discovering they can work from home, in the future we may see many more people choosing to live a more nomadic lifestyle! With love, Bryce & Rasa

Though this might be an unpopular opinion, I am thankful for the lockdown situation my country (England) is in. It has given me the opportunity to reflect on my lifestyle and I’ve managed to de-clutter rooms and only keep what I really need. This minimalist approach is definitely inspired by all the tiny house tours and I hope to see many more! Wishing everyone is safe and well!

I'm a bit of an over decorator, so at first glance, I thought the home looked beautiful with the natural wood tones but also bare. When I saw the family in their home, I saw how it highlighted what is important in life. They filled it with life. It was so sweet seeing their togetherness.

It is so WONDERFUL to see a young family of 3 thriving in a truly traveling tiny home. While, yes their home is small, they do not have to give up the comforts of a real home to be able to freedom camp and travel New Zealand. So beautiful to see their home on wheels & hear their story! THANK YOU FOR SHARING :-)

What a lucky girl, Tilly, to have parents who live so purposefully. Another terrific episode. I’m very grateful for this program, especially now when many of us are living amongst obvious chaos. It provides a real lesson that living the good life does not mean living with excess. Bravo!

Your recent episodes are a breath of fresh air, from a different world, where people had freedom to travel and spend time outdoors. It also kind of makes me want to cry.

I get amazed every time I see this show that how sustainable living is so good for enhancing our relationship with our loved ones. The kind of upbringing this kid is getting making me envious to be a kid again and live her life. And she would definitely grow up to be an amazing personality with a great childhood as her legacy. Love this show❤️🙏

It’s a good adventure for all of you. Your daughter is small so she’ll remember this better if you take lots of pics and go over them a often to reinforce the memories. I was surprised by how little is remembered when your 3. But revisiting in pics is really helpful..

Dear Bryce and Rasa, I started watching your channel last fall 2019 to combat some insomnia. LOL. It has since become one of my favorite pastimes. We humans are so clever when we use our hearts and minds together. This couple is wonderful. Live more than the dream, LIVE YOUR LIFE. God bless them. I have since segued into van life channels, VERY interesting. I am 66 and my husband is 77. I feel as though I've gone back to college. Still so much I can learn. I just retired in 2018 and have rediscovered an old passion. Van life has rekindled my gypsy spirit. We have a lovely small (1000 sq ft) sticks and bricks in Pennsylvania/USA. And now I am planning my third act. Inexpensive travel and my little home. YES with good planning it doesn't have to cost a fortune. THANK-YOU so much. I'm so pleased I subscribed last year. The Pandemic HAS made us adjust. Change is the only constant in life. That said, I'm so excited to see how things turn out.( i have also subscribed to two vanlife channnels. Who knew. LOL Cathy Miller

What a beautiful childhood are you providing for your little girl. These are experiences she'll never forget. I don't think I would be able to live in a house that small, but it will be a special time in your lives.

I have loved and followed this channel since I was pregnant (and therefore started looking into options of living with little space for families).
Now my daughter Tilli is 7 years old and watched this episode with me.
One day I will return to NZ for good and we, Tilli and me, will also live in a tiny house.
What a God sent episode for us!
Thank you, Bryce!

I love seeing a family with young children prove that you can still live minimally and your life does not need to be overtaken by toys!

Thanks again Bryce and Rasa...what a cute tiny house and what a lovely family...Tilly looks so happy and what child wouldn't want to have a new playground each time they travel to a new place...also she gets to camp out on the floor each night 😍...such a lovely house I especially love the lounge/bedroom area that large window over the bar...the deck is amazing but for me the best thing is the toilet which slides away...thanks again stay safe xo 💜

Hey Bryce, I know it's a tricky subject, but honestl, y in all practicality, I think it would be so helpful if you could somehow gather up different tiny-housers' perspectives on managing space with children, especially when it comes to intimacy. Im sure you can find an appropriate way to convey how people approach the matter in various ways without it being inappropriate for the channel. Keep up the phenomenal work regardless!

This tiny home is just amazing. It shows that we don't need to be living in a mansion or own alot of things to be happy. Simplicity is the key.

I could see this sweet space as a weekend travel home or a home for a sabbatical year of travel. Very well designed for that, especially the deck design. I think the home is limited for long term living for a family of three, but it surely meets their needs now and is giving them an opportunity to explore the world.
