You shoot someone you call 911 you tell them your name and that there's been a shooting and where the gun and you will be when law enforcement arrives.

Then you call a lawyer who specializes in firearm confrontations that result in a shooting.

You don't make any statements to the police other then giving your name and the weapon used in the shooting.

Doesn't matter what the circumstances are and how much in the right you are to you speak to your lawyer you don't make or write statements or answer any questions other then who b you are the weapon and point out where the deceased is.

And if you are going to have firearms it's good to belong to a group who legally will defend you if anything like this happens.
