Navy vet here. I've been all over the world, and I loved no place more than Rhodes! The area is beautiful, the food is amazing, and the history is fascinating. If you ever go to Greece, get your ass to Rhodes!

Recently I watched a special, not sure how old it was (could have been earlier this year or even a few years older), but they had recently discovered a large solid structure that was big enough to be the base of the statue. As far as I know, it's still being confirmed.
