FL Studio 12 MIDI Keyboard Setup

In this FL Studio 12 tutorial I show how to setup my digital piano / keyboard as MIDI input device.

I connect the keyboard to my PC using a USB cable and then enable the found MIDI input.

Still alil amazed all it took was a 2 pound printer cable, and here I was thinking I needed to get an interface or something just to get my p125 hooked up to fl studio. I'll be making my first synthwave track tonight when I get home from work and this is gonna make life soo much easier. Before I would have to play on my piano to create the chords and melody then go over to fl find the plugin I wanted then do it all in piano roll which was fine but typical slow. Thanks a bunch

I followed your tutorial and still doing something wrong. FL Studio 20 doesn't recognized Yamaha DGX - 650 keyboard to make MIDI files. Please help!

still no sound I got a midi in and out connector on my keyboard. connect both to my pc just like you did but i still dont get any sound

when i connect it it wont make the kick sound or clap sound it just does its default piano sound

My keyboard connects to it but it doesn't record the notes, I still have to press my laptop keyboard to input the notes, how do I fix this?

I have a Yamaha keyboard. I downloaded the proper Yamaha drivers did the stuff u did in the vid and then select what ever instrument but it only plays piano. I can hear the kick/clap in the background but it still plays the piano sound over it
