Gosh, Elizabeth Cotten. I am so glad that they found inspiration in others that also suffered. Suffering anything, to me, is what brings us together and can allow us to understand and relate to everyone.

Good to see that Elizabeth Cotten was recently recognized by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as an "early influencer." 😁👌🤙☠🌹✌

I love the piano and brushes and bongos. And guitars. And the yearning sound in Jerry's voice.

Jerry made sure all the royalties got back to Elizabeth Cotten, after he found out she got ripped off by the label for 'Shake Sugaree'....a mensch!

In all honesty this cover of Elizabeth Cotten's song is too slow. Garcia is in a fog or something, plays it way too slow. Meh.
