Bloodborne - Fighting Eileen in the Grand Cathedral (Boss Dialogue)

I couldn't find a video on Youtube which clearly played all of her dialogue in this fight so I thought I'd do it myself on my Arcane character, being sure to take my time and let all of Eileen's lines play out to completion.

You can fight Eileen here by abandoning her quest but not letting her die. I did it by talking to her once in Central Yharnam before Cleric Beast/Father Gascoigne and then not talking to her after she moved to Cathedral Ward and never initiating the Henryk quest.

She has pretty cool dialogue, I might start doing this for now on!

2024 edit: I have been asked so this is what my character is wearing:

Hat- Old Hunter Top Hat (found in the DLC)
Chest+Gloves- Decorative Old Hunter Set (found in the DLC)
Legs- Knight's Dress (found from Castle Cainhurst)

Eileen is said to have increased resistance to the intoxication of the hunt and blood, making her the perfect kind of hunter to be a hunter of hunters. However during her fight she's laughing and her sense of duty has become crazed meaning that not even someone like her is resistant to the madness from the Blood Moon

Man, this is sad. I never got this ending of the questline. Her mission was to keep hunters in check, hunters too blooddrunk to tell friend from foe, to tell anything from anything really.. In this ending, she became little more than what she was fighting against all along. The hunt truly consumes everyone and nobody stays safe, no matter how the prospects look from the start ("residents" in oedon chapel being another example, despite the incense). At least that's my take on this. Sad indeed..

WTF!? This is my favorite game of all time. I have put upwards of 3, 000+ hours into this game, and I never new you could fight Eileen instead of the bloody crow…..

I missed the questline of eileen and missed the crow badge but when I came here saw eileen standing it was weird but I got the badge tho

I got this Eileen ending too, but the thing is - I met her the first time outside cathedral ward, where she told me not to go to the tomb, which I did anyway, there I fought Henryk together with Eileen. But after that, when I went to the grand cathedral, Eileen was there, but she was hostile, just like in this video.

I came to see her fight since I finished her quest. And because on another video someone said he hadn't found her yet and a dude replied, don't worry, she'll find you.

In my eyes this is the best ending because you don’t betray Eileen and respect her wishes of staying away from Henryk. Resulting in her being hardened by the fight enough to kill the Blood Crow, fulfilling her duty. It’s a shame she succumbs to bloodlust after this and you have to kill her… But she did really well to last until her old age before going crazy. 🤷🏼

not only is she an incredibly challenging foe you feel awful for having to kill her, this is my first play through of the game and I'd missed my chance to help her out at all.

I accidentally aggro'd Eileen while trying to reach Henryk's rune she trapped in a corner in the tomb of Oedon. I wish there was a way to de-aggro her.

Arcane builds are so much fun. My bloodtinge and skill/strength ones are very enjoyable don’t get me wrong but whenever I really want to have a blast playing I invariably switch to my arcane setup.
