In this video, we are going to show you Broken heart syndrome which is also known as Takotsubo cardiomyopathy or Stress cardiomyopathy.

Takotsubo or broken heart syndrome is an interesting phenomenon. The takotsubo cardiomyopathy develops when someone is under physical or emotional stress. The takotsubo cardiomyopathy echo shows apical ballooning, hypokinesia, akinesia or dyskinesia. The takotsubo cardiomyopathy angiogram may clearly demonstrate the appearance of the interior of the left ventricle which resembles takotsubo or the pot that is used for catching octopus in Japan. The takotsubo cardiomyopathy lv gram shows the same. The stress cardiomyopathy or takotsubo cardiomyopathy is also called the broken heart syndrome. However, it is also called a happy heart syndrome as too much happiness can cause similar presentation.
