Exams in India are not conducted to give opportunities. Their main aim is to filter out the chunk of students. This is the problem

This generation is tolerating so much pressure, competition and comparison
Where as even after studying so much they will get a bare minimum package which is not justified ๐Ÿ˜ข

A boy playing cricket since 5 years old will become a great sportsperson by 25
A boy learning to sing or play music will become a skilful singer or musician by 25
An artist working for 10 years will be successful by 25 26 years.
But a student good at studies will never get anything...

Some points :-

1. 90% People pursuing a course either font know what they are doing or they saw someone sucessful in that field.

2. Indian education system focus more on theory than pratical.

3. Courses are outdated and some courses are considered low status than others.

Their are many more, I'm lazy to type.

The college iโ€™m in still teachers us MS.Word and powerpoint 2009(theoretically) along with other coding subjects and we always have the pressure to complete 75 percent attendance, it honestly feels like a waste of time to even go to college, we can do so much more with that time.

I wish I had not done my undergrade from INDIA. I paid in lakhs but the education and skill development curriculum was and is waste. To be frank the effort I put in to learn skills via INTERNET has turned out to be more helpful.

The actual Problem is everyone study to be successful, no one studies to be Capable!

I am a 16 year old who just started 11. I want to be a filmmaker and wanted to take arts. But my parents forced me to take up science and prepare for neet and become a doctor. The pressure is internally destroying me and has resulted in severe anxiety, paranoia, irritability, and depression. My parents' expectations are worsening my self-loathing even more than it already is as I feel worthless for not being able to do this even though my parents are putting in so much effort. I just feel so lost man.

My personal experience: Got time during winter vacations (11th standard) and so I thought about researching about relevant jobs which I can consider after 12th (I thought let's do something apart from engineering) and I came across being a pilot. Everything seemed good and nice until I saw how much money it actually takes to become a pilot in India which is AT LEAST 70 lacs. Felt heartbroken and guess what, I'll have to do engineering then!
Moral of the story: In order to become rich, you need to be rich!

Removal off Pass and Fail in exams has drastically reduced the education quality. They never learn to fail in early years of life. So they grow up and as an adult they face failure and cannot handle it.

What I believe is that the system is far different right now from how it was a couple years ago.
I'm from Assam and our Education system here is now putting their attention in understanding concepts more than mugging up chapters over chapters. Question Patterns have changed and can only be solved with a clear and vague understanding of the chapters.
Skill based Questions, Practical knowledge are being applied in tests and examinations
Also, I believe that the expected future requirements of a child are changing exponentially so skills like public speaking, entrepreneurship, Computer Science etc should be the main focus. And in this context my school is very much concious of.

In the current generation for what I m observing, toppers are not those stereotypical nerds with books, introverted attitude and one with no outside knowledge anymore. They are more job oriented with skillful and hardworking qualities like the ones discussed above.

So i think schools are changing and NEP is working a lot towards it. ๐Ÿ˜Šโค

Such a shame that some students who gave neet and got 720 are not getting AIIMS Delhi.. Education System has become a joke. I am glad that I made the choice of going for JEE and I got a good NIT instead of getting stuck in giving neet.
