I saw Mr. Big in 1989 their first album I remember we were all blown away with Paul Gilbert. He can play everything well.

I like listening to this guy – I'm actually learning things about setting tones and vibes from him by watching this video! I really appreciate his openness and transparency about what he's doing, how he's doing it and why. For instance, during this video he actually shows you what do each of these different pedals sound like as he's going through them. One of the best guitar rig rundowns I have seen.

I love that he get's his tone from distortion pedals. I've always used them & find you get more control with them & they can sound just as good as tube distortion.
