I thought they were gonna use Spider-Man to have the symbiote, but man we were robbed. Maybe he will get it in Secret Wars. Time will tell.

Aside from all that, I think the venom movies are fun. Better than Morbius and Madame Web. I just hope they don’t pull a Sony. But I trust and know they won’t because, well, it’s Venom. He is carrying the SSU at this point.

Have you forgotten we saw venom faded back to his universe I would think the Symbiot is in two different universes on that different versions of the bar one and Sony one and the MCU

My theory is that the symbiote also got sucked out of the mcu when the spell happened so it landed in the same place, different universe and the bartender was also the same

I dont think the bar scene is retconned at least what i know but remember venom was in a hotel before he got into the mcu so that bar scene might be different and another variant of the bar tender

i dont think it can physically be a retcon only cause they should've gotten any other actor but instead its someone who already has or i guess HAD a role in the mcu as mordo. i think it might just be a fun little nod to it and venom or another symbiote just happened to get drunk at that same bar with the same bar tender just in the venom verse and left some goo behind
