What a lot of skills and experience it takes to operate these type of excavator.Hopefully the old fellow operating this excavator is training the younger blokes to operate these types of machines. Makes the modern day hydraulic excavator a piece of cake to operate.
My hat and respect is off to the old fellow for his skills.

So many of these have been scrapped or lay abandoned or disappeared in weeds. What’s also rare is finding someone who can run it! Great video.

I run one of these for a company called Johnson bros. and they started with one that built the road in to logging and then later with no bucket loaded log trucks with it. I will tell you now that nothing was given up easy on those old monsters..I just wish more of them still were around for our youth

The one and only Gerhart Machinery Co! I didn't get the chance to go to Mack Days this year unfortunately, but it's an excellent show. The "sandbox" area is just as cool as seeing all the trucks on display.
