You don't necessarily need a Red Special, if you have a bit of experience with a soldering iron you can wire the phase switches yourself, I did it with a cheap strat copy and it sound GREAT.

I knew the answer before I clicked the vid, but in fairness I've been playing guitar for most of my life at this point.
