"Curva pelegrosa" this means dangerous turn in Spanish. I took my first road trip into mexico with two of my friends. As we were driving we kept seeing the same sign and wondered what it meant.

After our car went off the road and we were stranded in a ditch we were looking in our spanish/english dictionary and learned that "curve pelegrosa" means dangerous turn.

While we sat there stranded wondering what to do a huge bus full of soccer players stopped and the team got out and said "no problema" and lifted our little car back up on the road.

So those are my two phrases. Congratulations on episode 80!

I work with a couple of Spanish speaking locals here in northern NM. I love learning from them. "hay vengo" means, I will be right back. Thanks for your lessons, I like your style and will keep listening.

I like suelta la lengua, getting talking. Do you use that at all? And I like the sound of estoy harto or estoy harta to say I'm sick of something. One of my favourites is ¡Qué barbaridad! to say something is disgraceful. Haha my favourites have a negative theme this morning, I'm actually a positive person in a good mood!! 😂

Best language tutor app out there, you have a very good delivery. You also seem very genuine, I enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for all your hard work. I moved from Canada to Ecuador back in October and wish i found your videos earlier. Would have made this move so much better. I typically cant watch things for more then 2 mins lol but I can make it through all your videos. here's a phrase in English i would like to hear in Spanish." I'm so happy to be hear in your beautiful country, thank you for welcoming my family" Thank you Danny

I so appreciate you and am so glad I found you. I am going to visit my 5, 7, and 9 year old granddaughters next month, and they are in Spanish immersion school. Additionally, their nanny is from Colombia and speaks very little English. Thank you.

Thanks, another great video. I’m going to start using these, especially “será pan comido” 👍

A few obvious ones that come up in mainland Spain all the time, might be useful if you’re a beginner like me:

Vale - okay, right, or to mean just about anything, often repeated several times in a row!
Claro - sure, of course, or it’s clear.
No te preocupes - don’t worry about it.
De nada - you’re welcome
Por supuesto que sí - yes of course
No estoy seguro - I’m not sure
Ven aquí - come here
Qué pena - what a shame
Bien hecho - well done
Qué tengas un buen día - have a nice day
Muchísimas gracias - thank you very very much (more emphasis than “muchas gracias”)

In the Philippines, it's common to use "syempre" (derived from "siempre" or always) to mean "of course." Sometimes I find myself using "syempre" with my Spanish-speaking friends to mean "por supuesto" which is sometimes a point of confusion.

One I have heard here in Ags, Mex.. is "Aguas" ..means "watch out" or "watch yourself"
