I am suffering from endometriosis since the age of 16 and I am almost 40 now. I want to share my journey with other ladies who are suffering from this disease as it may help someone. First suggestion I want to give u all is to go for a diagnostic laparoscopy if your doctor is not sure. They put a camera and clear out everything possible in the same surgery. Second is to go start trying immediately for conception if you want a child or go for IVF immediately after the surgery if you want a child. DO NOT WAIT. Third is that if you are delivering through c-section then please consult a good Endo specialist as the Endo tissues can come out in your skin in the place where is the excision as scar endometriosis which is even more painful. I have done everything above and am currently suffering from scar endometriosis as there was nobody who could advise me on this c-section thing.

Soon I will be going for my second surgery for scar endometriosis and trust me, any information on this topic is less information as very few gynaecologists have good knowledge about this disease. The community can only help in raising awareness.

My life has not been easy with this disease as suffering is still continuing. I hope my experience comes in handy for ladies who have just been diagnosed or are looking to get pregnant.

This is a very important health condition that requires more awareness. I dealt with endometriosis for over 5 years before it got actually diagnosed.

Did a laparoscopy to remove the chocolate cyst as they call it. Never had a problem ever since.

I went to at least 3 gynecologists before it got finally diagnosed

Thank you for addressing such an important and yet, relatively obscure topic. It's interesting, I just read a study which shows that the endometrial microbiome plays an important role in endometriosis, by altering the endometrial expression of genes coding proteins involved in inflammation! How wide-ranging are the effects of our diet and lifestyle, and how much control do we actually have over our health? I am impressed that, as a pharmaceutical manufacturer, you are looking at a holistic approach to health. Kudos!

My journey s similar to her. I guess i had endo years before even i diagnosed it. Coz i had acne by the age 16-17 very badly. And few years later went to scan n they said u have a cyst, small ones. But so many docs didnt find out it is endo. Now im 36. We just found only when i went through certain symptoms n pains.

Endometriosis ruins your life takes away your precious years of life. As people thinks it's normal to have period pain. But it's not. Please take it seriously, as early detection and treatment are very important
