It took a little while to get used to but now that I have gotten used to it I find it is truly very beautiful . The musical accompaniment is so lush and her voice so much more mature and sounding full of pure emotion .This one of the greatest songs ever written .

This is such a beautiful version and I love the slow motion dancing. I love the location with the rust coloured wall with the tendrils of climbing greenery. Echoing the colour of the wall in her dress was a gorgeous touch. This is exquisite. Thank you Sophie. My Mom passed in January after a long battle with lung cancer. She was the light of my life and I feel bereft now. I came here because I knew you wrote this song about your father. I came here for comfort and comfort is what you have given me. Even better than the original. It moved me to tears, real earnest ugly crying within seconds. This song was the most influential song to my close friend and I as 11-year-old's when it came out, and for years after. This song was our childhood. We sang it like nerds out in the forest and reveled in the beauty of both nature and music. Upon discovering this video last night, I sent my old friend a selfie of me crying my eyes out, knowing she'd both deeply understand my feelings and get a good laugh. Even the video of Sophie dancing resounded with my soul... 25 years go by and she's still dancing and jumping with passion. She and the song are more vibrant than ever. It made me feel like despite how fast the years go by, it gives me hope and a deep sense of contentment that things will always be fine and even be better. That was the message I've been needing lately.

I had always loved this song since I was a teenager and I knew she wrote it when her Dad died. When my dad died in 2018, it was a go to song and I finally understood what she felt, how it felt, a daughter losing her father. I still love the song even though since my best friend, my sweet daddy died, it takes me back to being a little girl and being the apple of his eye, as an adult I was even closer to my dad. I am almost never without tears when listening to it now but it still comforts me and I feel more connected to him. ♥
