How Ordnance Survey is contributing to the future of smart buildings
Показать описание
Mappin Technologies, a growing start-up assisted by the Geovation initiative, has developed new software that harnesses indoor positioning technology and location data analysis – essentially, a system based around the concept of ‘indoor mapping.’
With this new software, Mappin Technologies can improve user wayfinding and analyse space allocation. This software is already being used to map out indoor spaces on university campuses, to ensure social distancing compliance measures can be met. Students meanwhile can resume face-to-face education, in safer and controlled environments.
Mappin Technologies already has long-term goals to implement the same systems in museums, airports, exhibitions, and shopping centres, gradually building towards the concept of ‘smart buildings.’
In this video meet Mappin Technologies founder and CEO, Giulio Coppola. He explains how OS data helped create seamless user experiences and outlines his plans for the next phase of the organisation.
