Two years after Bonnie Borton's second occurrence of lymphoma, a scan revealed very tiny lesions in her lungs.

Stanford physicians offered Borton a minimally-invasive video-assisted lobectomy, or VATS lobectomy. To remove her tumor, surgeons would make three, one to two inch incisions into her torso, guided by a high grade video camera.

Borton recovered in a few weeks and was back to her daily activities of taking care of her home, tending her garden, and daily 30-minute walks. The only marks of her VATS surgery are three small scars.
