In Exodus Chapter 12, the children of Israel sprinkled blood of a lamb on their doorposts. The Angel of Death would Passover their home thus saving their firstborn. Fast forward to the New Testament. The blood of Jesus shed for us on the cross ✝️ Saves us from death spiritually forevermore ❤ Thank you Jesus!

In 1 Samuel: Nabal, Abigail and David: Abigail intercedes for Nabal before David. She bears Nabal’s sin as intercessor and in doing so keeps David from sin (revenge on Nabal) and also brings gifts including bread and wine (the New Testament). An image of Jesus interceding before God for us and dying for our sin. Evil is repaid with good, and good prevails 🙏

After years of reading it, I realized what/who Jacob’s ladder was.

I'm relatively new to the connections between the story of the Prodigal Son and the reunion of Jacob and Esau. I don't know how I didn't make those connections before but, they are rather beautiful.

Jesus carrying His cross and Isaac carrying the wood for the sacrifice..also the ram whose horns (power) were caught in a thicket. God provided the sacrifice.. a crown of thorns placed on our Lord.. God provided our sacrifice.

For years I never realized that when Jesus said “love your neighbor as yourself” He was quoting from Leviticus.

To answer your question: the beginning of Jesus's ministry, that of his crossing of the Jordan and entering the wilderness to be tempted, was symbolizing his replacement of Israel in the OT. The perfect Son of God, replacing the failure that preceded him so that all could have access to God.

The Passover account. Yes, oh yes, there is that precious blood spread on doorpost and lintel. But as an evangelical we never got the command to gather in the houses to EAT THE LAMB. Eucharist! Body. Blood. Not just “lamb cookies.” But the real thing. Real Presence!

I’m thinking about Jesus giving Peter the “keys of the Kingdom”. Whatever Peter locks up on earth will be locked up in heaven and whatever he lets loose on earth will be free in heaven. Matthew 16:19

In Judges 4, Jael used an ordinary tent peg to crush the head of Sisera, bringing victory to Israel. This foreshadows the ultimate victory at the cross, where Jesus, the promised seed of the woman, crushed the head of Satan through His death and resurrection. Genesis 3:15 prophesies this moment: “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.”

Jesus was crucified at Golgotha, the place of the skull, where the cross—like Jael’s tent peg—was driven into the ground, securing victory over sin, death, and the enemy. Just as Jael’s act delivered Israel from oppression, Christ’s sacrifice at the cross forever crushed the power of Satan, nailing our sins and strongholds to the ultimate tent peg of redemption.

The Key to the House of DAVID is the DOVE of JESUS that JESUS put upon my shoulders. The DOVE was on Noahs ark. the DOVE is the Star of Bethlehem. The DOVE is the throne of JESUS CHRIST. The VALLEY OF VISION is the vision JESUS appeared to you and commanded you to tell. I am NOT ELIAKIM YET. The Day the HELL begins (with a nuke in Chicago) I go to Heaven and JESUS gives me my new name that day. You shall hear JESUS say COME UP ELIAKIM that day, worldwide and that day be left behind in HELL.

We just read today in Isaiah 22 about a whirlwind sweeping in--reminds me of the storm that Jesus and disciples were in, also the shipwreck that Paul survived.
