As someone that comes from the farm toys hobby and recently got into the Hot Wheels hobby for my son, the price on that is on par honestly. Look up prices for DCP semi trucks and trailers. Alot of the Dcp tracks and trailers can be $200+ and I believe the DCP car hauler is about $250.

I really don't understand what Mattel is doing. So, instead of producing enough, it sold out in minutes and now all the scalpers are making the money instead of them. Doesn't seem too smart to me, collectors are upset and they lose out on a bunch of money.

Keep in mind that not everyone who bought this got the 25% discount. That is part of the reason this sold out quickly. Mattel has a disclaimer that they have the right to terminate any further sales at their discretion. This item was meant to sell for TWO WEEKS! So it’s very doubtful they would sell out under 2 hours. The customer service lines were jammed with people asking why they didn’t get the discount. If you think about it, why on earth would they discount a brand new item? It appears someone at Mattel mistakenly activated the discount which was supposed to be on the previous releases. Mattel panicked and pulled the plug early. So if you got one, think twice about letting it go near cost.

It was definitely worth $37 + shipping and tax. Although it's not something I collect I do have it sitting on my shelf. I'll probably end up trying to trade it for the Silverado STH. Anyone want to trade hit me up. Contact info on my channel.
