Hi! Great video. I have a question. I would like for the lid to be attached. Would it be durable to do it with inside or outside latches? Do I need to change the lid's measurements? What would you recommend? Thank you!

Great video! what kind of screws are you using? And in the video you mentioned you use for the frame 2x8 but in the plans file 2x6, was it 2x8 right?

I would expect the sandbox to fill up with rain water since the cover isn’t leak-proof, then the water to become stagnant since it has no way of escaping since it’s lined with plastic. Could be remedied with non-permeable cover.

Was all of your lumber pressure-treated? The slats didn't look like it. Thought it was peculiar also that you used dowels to screw into yet wonder if those would be the first place to rot. I guess 4-5 years would be the expected life span which is adequate for the two unless you plan on giving mom another grandchild...hint hint
