Post office problems=toxic management, chronic and intentional understaffing, and a failure to to keep pace with competitors pay. We are severely understaffed on purpose, and under paid compared to ups, fed ex, etc.

Since our last contract, we’ve had a 19% pay cut one countering in inflation. Both the post office and our union are at fault equally it is their jobs to come up with a contract and we are 500 days overdue. You could go work in fast food for just about the same amount of money, as you can sitting in a truck with no AC and walking 30 miles a day in the most toxic working environment that I’ve ever seen when it comes to the relationship between management and employees. And this is nationwide not just one office. Of course there’s going to be a shortageof employees when both the post office and the union don’t give any craps whatsoever about adequately paying their employees.

Get rid of all the high paying managers that don’t do anything

The Letter Carriers are working under a contract that had expired more that a year ago. We work for management that will violate our contracts, Agreements, and OSHA regulations putting us in danger. We need help, we need better representation, we need public support.

It's not a manpower issue, it's a management issue

Letter carriers are 500 days without a collective bargaining agreement. Their union is failing to protect them. Carriers are dying on the street due to heat and violence.

Carriers are over worked and underpaid. Management keeps pushing us harder every day. We haven’t got a raise in over two years while management got a 17% raise. We are always short staffed and forced to work overtime, work our days off, and some cases vacation denied while overpaid postmaster and supervisor sit in the air conditioning and play on their phones all day.

USPS doesn’t treat their employees properly. The USPS doesn’t pay properly either. Some work 6 days per week without benefits too.

Staffing will continue to be a problem until the toxic management is fixed and pay increases significantly.

It’s literally not worth working for the USPS anymore, management mistreats and severely micro manages the carriers, many routes are overburdened, Amazon parcels always come first, mail second. Management has had two big cost of living raises, the carriers have gotten nothing, no new contracts. Management is performance bonus driven now so moving Amazon packages takes priority over the mail.

In my office one of my fellow mail carrier quiet his job because he got humiliated by management and he can’t take the physical mental and emotional abuse at the hands of management

I work for the post office. The pay is the issue. Amazon pays their employees at least $21. I get paid 19.33.

Your going to keep seeing problems until the employee hourly wages are increased enough to accommodate for the high cost of living these days

UPS drivers making 35+ an hour meanwhile USPS carriers are doing 100-200 packages a day on top of regular mail making 21 an hour, I’m sure that probably has a lot to do with it. Or maybe I don’t know the fact that they require RCAs to deliver from their own vehicles when it makes 10000% more sense to give LLVs to RCAs seeing as 100% of rural routes are mounted delivery with the exception of packages. USPS delivers more Amazon packages in my area than Amazon itself does lmao shit is ridiculous

Dejoy took all the joy out of working for the usps. Now missing and lost mail is the norm in my area. Its a shame because I always felt the mail service was a great service and a bargain. Good luck to the employees trying to hang in there. I appreciate what you do.

How else do you privatize the postal service... but by sabotaging and gutting funding then complaining about the results.

Rural subs(RCA) all make just over $20 an hour, with no raises for staying in the job, so new subs and those with years of experience subs are paid the same. Many deliver out of their own vehicles with an EMA set nationally, so it needs to be higher in areas where gas/cost of living is expensive. They work like slaves in areas with overburdened routes that are not being cut by USPS. Amazon volume is killing workers in many offices. There is no way a carrier can work decades at this job and retire anymore. Their bodies will not make it. Also due to being short staffed many are working 10-14 hour days, often with no days off for weeks in a row.

So tell them to pay better. Blaming the workers is asinine

I used to be a CCA and management want you to work everything in 6 hrs and then giving you a 2 hr swing. Why not just give 8 hrs period? That way no one feels rushed and all the talk of OT but where I was stationed HELL NO ON O.T. if I clocked in 1 min early it was an issue but if I was 1 min late sups turned the other cheek. That's why I left
