I like the mention of Miku as being the glue holding the whole thing together.
Surrounded by individual superstars, Miku effortlessly provides that extra deep aural colour that enriches everything it touches.
And as ever, thanks to Bob for shining a light on details that can be hidden from we non-musicians !

The look on Akane's face from one of the camera shots after that battle said it all. The joy and love for her bandmates after their solos showed that, yes that was spectacular and I loved helping.

There are no solos in BandMaidLand. At first, it seems like trading solos, then you notice a pounding Gorilla, then you hear a chugging Pigeon. What an instrumental quartet.

I really like what Akane does in this song, especially during the solo. At one point she even hit the outer edge of the cymbal to get a fitting sound. I truly love her creativity in bringing out a special feeling in the song. This is outstanding drumming from an seasoned drummer!

Great reaction and analysis (as usual) Bob !!
As many already said below, this track was part of the Band-Maid 10th anniversary concert at the Yokohama Arena Okyu-ji in November 2023.
You’ll be surprised to know that 3 members of Lovebites (Haruna, Asami and Midori) were in attendance at this show!!!
They posted their comments on their Twitter (today X) accounts and also a picture of them outside the venue and a picture of the stage during the show, with Miku on the screen.
In her post Haruna wrote ”we've performed together twice in the past at festivals and went out to eat ramen with AKANE”.
I think these 2 great bands, in their own different musical genre, they have great respect for each other !!
Band-Maid and Lovebites forever!!

Akane and her ability to play poly rhythms is one of the things that makes her one of the best drummers currently. Not because she bashes the heck out of her kit which she does do at times, but her ability to play several different rhythms with each limb at the same time.

And this call and response was brought back. They used to play it back in 2017 but they dropped it to switch the focus to other songs. They brought it back because it is so loved by us fans.

I love how the Ladies will switch things up to make their concerts fun, entertaining, and fresh.

And that sound was in their backing track. It's not the same as in their older set, but it is similar. So they updated it for this concert.

And as many of us say, Band-Maid is their own genre.

I love your reactions to band-maid.
You have a definite ear for music.
However, you have the utmost respect for the artists and don't brag about your own talent.
You can be trusted.
I'm grateful that someone like you responds to my favorite band, band-maid.
I look forward to seeing more in the future.

Yeah, this is a fantastic track and it's so good to see Saiki owning that stage! Great track, great performance, great band!! Thanks Bob!

After the bass and guitar trade section, the section before the chorus includes one bar of break from the fourth beat of the previous bar, which is truly a unique formula of this band!

Great reaction Bob and there is a synth in a backing track, it's really low but it's there (it's also in the official music video). Thanks for continuing to react to Band-Maid.

What more is left to say that hasn't been said over and over again about Band Maid. I feel that they are a true unicorn when it comes to rock of any sub-genre there is. And what you were saying about Kanami's solos and group's solos in general, is correct. I think every one of these solos are specifically written and scripted by Kanami in her composition and arrangements. She is just that type of a perfectionist that wants everything perfect. I know there might be some slight variations here and there, but everything is so smoothly done and performed that you don't really notice it. Kanami is a true musical prodigy/genius/savant. Another spot where you can hear the smoothness and structure of her compositions vis a vis solos is in Freedom. When Akane finishes her solo and instantly segues into Misa's transition to the rest of the song, it's done so smoothly that it has to be scripted. And that's not a criticism, I think it's wonderful.

And what else can be said about Akane ???? She is like a cyborg up there, and her fills are both a thing of beauty and pieces of art. The more I watch her, the more I see the same kind of creativity that legends like Gene Krupa and Buddy Rich had, which is really high praise. Ad I have said before, Akane is the High Priestess of the Temple of the Perfect Fill, lol.

There aren't enough superlatives to use when Band Maid is under consideration. I first got bit by the rock bug in 1958 and I can truly say that I have never encountered another group like them.

I don't really like drawing comparisons between musicians, they each have their own style and their own experience but, as a bass player myself, each time I hear Misa launch into one of her amazing solos I hear small echoes of the late Chris Squire in her tonality and phrasing ... she's an absolute machine.

Fantastic as ever, Kanami is so polished, has created her own style. Grittiest vocals I have heard from Saiki so far. The drums are perfect for the song….

Don't You Tell Me! Oh, wait! You just did. 🤘😂Now, let me tell you something: Some say the Carolina Reaper is the hottest chili pepper with a Scoville Heat Index of 2.2 million. Nope! It's Band-Maid with a whopping 200 Million View index! 🌶🤘🎀 Thx, Bob!

Absolutely agree, MISA is a beast.🎸 🤘🤘 Or, if you prefer, barefoot assassin.😁
Band Maid and The Warning played a show together, in Japan, about a week and a half ago. TW went over there a week or so early. The result was a new song, a collab between the 2 bands. Song is called "Show Them", and will be on the upcoming Band Maid album. The 2 band played it live at that concert, with all 8 ladies on stage, 2 drum kits, 3 guitars, 2 basses, dual lead vocals with Dany and Saiki.
There is a 30 second or so teaser clip of that song on the Band Maid socials, that can be reacted to. DO NOT react to the fan cam footage of the entire song, you will most likely get a COPYWRITE STRIKE if you do. Many reactors that did react to that footage, DID get a STRIKE.

When you come back to Band Maid, if you want to see where they came from, try "Thrill", the song that got them going and saved the band.

Excellent work!. For this tenth anniversary concert, they recovered this extended version of the bridge of the song that belongs to their 2018 live shows and is especially remembered and appreciated by their fans. Thank you!!

I know they're not a metal band, but Misa, oh man, her bass tone is so much heavier than most of them in the metal band, imo. She also adds so much groove with that heavy tone, which makes her a beast. No doubt about it.

I think that wavering up and down you were hearing was Miku, if you note her fret positions as they flash up she is going up and down the fretboard high and low during that section... so I suspect that was her.
