Do you know the difference between PoE NVR and PoE switch?Actually, the PoE NVR and PoE switch are completely different products, but you may need to make the decision which one to pick while you try to build an IP camera system.

This video tells you about  the difference between PoE NVR and PoE switch. You can know the ways to setup the IP cameras system through the PoE switch or the PoE NVR. The PoE NVR has integrated the PoE switch into a video recorder box.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to post comment below.

Can I connect also POE AP to a NVR POE so at the end I need only an NVR POE to act for Cameras as well as extending the Wifi coverage?

Hello, i want to install 16 POE ip cameras on a distance of 150 meter. Can i put my 16 chanel POE Switch in the middle (75m) and conect all 16 cameras, and then with one single cable to the router (75m), and from the router into NVR? Or do you have better solution?

The problem with your video is that you don`t go deep enough into the subject. It is, granted a laymans appreciation of the difference between the two but you don`t mention the different types of POE standards for the switches, available for different purposes. Switches to cater for the different types of POE standards are quite easy to find however trying to find an NVR to provide enough power to the device under higher votage standards is looking for a needle in a haystack. I`m still looking for an NVR which can provide POE++ standard. (quote),
Due to different classification standards, PoE can be divided into different types. PoE vs. PoE+ vs. PoE++ vs. UPoE vs. PoH
According to the above-mentioned PoE standards, are PoE, PoE+, PoE++, UPoE, and PoH. PoE is defined by the IEEE 802.3af standard which is mainly used to support low power devices such as VoIP phones and wireless access points with two antennas. PoE+ is the IEEE 802.3at standardized PoE. Providing up to 30 watts power, it is often applied in networks with wireless access points with six antennas and complex surveillance cameras that pan, tilt or zoom. PoE++ and UPoE are the latest PoE types that are adhered to IEEE 802.3bt and Cisco UPOE standards respectively. They are designed to extend resilient network power to high power devices such as laptops, TVs, video conferencing systems, LED lights, etc. PoH is similar to PoE, it also enables the transmission of DC power in conjunction with data signals over a single Ethernet cable to a distance of up to 100m.
