Good to see that these machines are still in use today and that more and more young farmers are ditching the million dollar computerised machines in favour of the classic long lasting machines.

I remember the days when farmers had self propelled combines in the early sixties, which I thought was really neat. I was still using a pull type Massey Harris. In my 20's I started using an International 101. I found out sitting up on the platform right behind the header with no cab was not so great after all. THANK GOD for air conditioned cabs!
I noticed the New Holland turned around on the lawn. if I did that my grandmother would have shot me right on the spot!

I very much enjoy all the older combines. The side hill combines are interesting to watch the suspension on on hills. Really cool to see the old school JD rocking the tracks. GO BTP!!!

When I was growing up, I'm 65 now, my grandfather has a massy 300 then up graded to the tr70. Never picked corn just harvested oats and soybeans. He ear picked corn with a mounted 2 row picker on a farmall then upgraded that to a deere mounted on a 4010. He was a dairy farmer that came from Iowa to Minnesota with a cow, a hog, 38 cents in his pocket and my grandmother! That was 1938 and he farmed until he was 88. Tough old dude!

Awesome video and history lesson ! Reminds me of my childhood on our farm and when the harvesters showed up,
I would run out of the house to watch ! These combines are exactly how I remember them !

The 3300 was neat to see. A guy near us had one with a Cab, and he had the M&W kit added to the head that was supposed to keep beans feeding nicer.
The 6600 has always been my favorite, I grew up riding in one and purchased one this year as a working toy, I plan to harvest wheat with it this coming year

My first combines were two case 600 one had a grain head and the other had a two row corn head. Grain head combine had no cab the corn head machine had a cab. Gas engine’s no luxury but got the job done. I’ll never forget the good old days!

Loved that 3300 no cab, back in 1977 Dad bought a new 6600 and the neighbor bought a 3300, his had a cab though it was the only one i ever saw in action, man at the time i thought the 4400 looked small but the 3300 was really small but a pretty cool machine. great video keep up the good work, today we run two S780s

Hey these old classics are really neat, thanks Jason. I’m a gleaner guy myself and we still run gleaners on our farm.

Sinceramente da gusto ver tus vídeos especialmente de máquinas antiguas en orden de marcha y aún trabajando. Un saludo

I like all of them especially the hillside John Deere combines.

Our first self-propelled combine was a JD45, like the one at the 3 minute mark. Without tracks.
The 2 row corn head resulted in the rear tire running down the adjacent unpicked row if you were going the wrong way on a tight curve on our 80 ft. wide contour strips in SE Minnesota.

It would be neat to see a 95 john deere combine to the 9rx combine in the same field with all generations of combines in between in
staggered formation.

I enjoyed the video. I used to operate a 300 Massy Ferguson for a neighbour, and like the on in this video it had the Scour Klean unit on it. It's a shame that the technology fell out of favour, the Scour Klean removed a lot of weed seed from the fields. Plus were great for harvesting small seed like clover. Excellent video.
