It makes a difference because consoles can't run Crysis, so instead of Crysis 2 (and perhaps 3) being an improvement, they got downgraded on to consoles.

Crysis was different from other shooters, but its sequels, while nice graphics, don't have a game play that really sets them apart from other FPS's

The first Crysis was incredible because it had beautiful graphics and completely new gameplay. Now it feels just like the COD series - the same engine, no new gameplay, a sellout, etc...

Crysis 1 is far better than 2, whether you're comparing gameplay, graphics, intuitive design, the engine it runs off - it simply was a downgrade. Nothing more.

yes crysis 2 was a downgrade because the game was so hard to run that people were using it to test their graphics cards and systems, so it was lowered so anybody can purchase the game and play it on reasonable graphics.
