Our next Small Space video focuses on trick taking games! These are some of our favorite small box games! Lots of new ways to spin this favorite mechanism and create clever, interesting games. We have a 2 player only game, a co-op game (not that one!), a game that assigns characters and sidekicks, and a trick taking area control game. Lots of twists packed into small boxes!

Pinochle is a great game. I still remember playing every weekend with my Grand parents when I was younger, great memories.

Michelle, you are not only my theme twin but also mechanism wise. Love Trick taking and dudes on a map is not too much my thing...

I tried my first trick taking game only a couple of years ago, and it always takes me a few rounds to remember how to play and get in the groove of it. I'm looking at getting more because we only have one! Thanks so much for the awesome video! 😁

Haven't watch yet but I'm so excited to them talk about Fox in the Forrest, Skull King, and Jekyll vs Hyde a lot. I really want them to go in deep on those! I'm hyped up!! Woooo!

Love some trick taking! Great video. Radiant sounds fun. You’ve also reminded me that I need to play my copy of Tournament at Camelot.

Just incase you don't know what trick taking is... that was great!

Claim's 2 phases remind me of German Whist, a traditional card game.

Great video! Yes, I have had my eye on Tournament for Camelot/Avalon. About a year ago the Dice Tower put out a great Top 10 Trick Taking games video. One that I remember from that video cones to mind, since you like Tournament. It's called Indulgence. I haven't played it myself, but it looks like it has some interesting twists on the mechanics.
Well, your trick taking video did trick me good, because I thought for sure when you introduced your last game as a combination of trick taking and area control, it had to be Brian Boru! I have never heard of Radiant, but will definitely give it a look. I just got Brian Boru and am hoping to get it played this weekend 🤞🇮🇪

Such a great episode! I really enjoy trick taking! I love Fox in the Forest. It is one of my GF’s favorite games. We have played the Duet version but it fell a little flat for us. Probably because we just loved the original so much, couldn’t see playing the other 😁. I have Claim and Claim 2, but believe it or not haven’t played them yet. 😳 It’s been in my small box bin for a year or so! The shame! I have not played Tournament of Camelot but it sounds very interesting and I have never heard of Radiant! I need to check that out. But first, I must play Jekyll vs Hyde before I get another trick taking game 😁. Perhaps if I got an async invite on BGA I can learn that this weekend 😉. I am still getting use to this BGA thing and setting up tables/invites. Love what you and Billie are doing here! So much fun to watch! I was really excited to this notification pop up while drinking my cup of coffee! Have an awesome weekend!

I’m really interested in Tournament at Camelot but can’t find it anywhere! I wonder if the Avalon version plays as well at two…

Just stumbled across your channel, and really loved the first of your videos that I've watched.

My favourite trick taker is between Jekyll vs Hyde, and a Japanese game called Joraku. As you like Radiant, I suspect you'd really enjoy Joraku too. It is also a trick taking/area control game, and is a heap of fun for 3/4 players.

Anyway, time to have a wee snoop around your channel!

I have not tried any trick taking games, I am really interested in trying some of the ones you recommended. Since I am so out of the loop board gaming, what is BGA?
