Best lessons I've learned about lighting. Thanks alot, Now I have learned 6 things that matter on this subject:
1. The aspect of the product I want to highlight using key light
2. Controlling shadows using fill light
3. Bringing out the product rim using backlighting
4. Choosing suitable backgrounds
5. Working with temperatures
6. Distance of the light source

I like how your contents were highlighting the technical aspects and the basic principles of industrial design in a balanced weight. as a mechanical engineer who just started working as a product designer, these give me a lot of insight!

The fact that your videos have taught me more about composition than my design college tells how devoted you are to making these videos. Thank you so much for these videos. They help me a lot.

Three-point lighting is always a good way to start a lighting scenario. Even one spotlight or area light is good. My preference I usually to use Hdr to give me base lighting. The HDR will be three-point lighting. Maybe light to add brightness. I'll add area lights for specular high lights on a product. Those help to bring a bit more attention to some areas that maybe look too flat. Your video is a good source for anyone using Keyshot.

Awesome video, everything is very well explained! Just one question, did u create the planes to use as sources of light on the 3d model or you created them directly in Keyshot?
