“My plan was to die before the money ran out,” says 60-year-old penniless Manhattan socialite Frances Price (Michelle Pfeiffer), but things didn’t go as planned. Her husband Franklin has been dead for 12 years and with his vast inheritance gone, she cashes in the last of her possessions and resolves to live out her twilight days anonymously in a borrowed apartment in Paris, accompanied by her directionless son Malcolm (Lucas Hedges) and a cat named Small Frank—who may or may not embody the spirit of Frances’s dead husband.

The opening line makes this movie worth watching. "My plan was to die before the money runs out, but i kept not dying... so here i am"

This is absolutely fabulous. She has got to be at very least nominated for an Oscar for her portrayal of this woman. This film ought to win some awards for that matter.

She is still the best Catwoman in cinematic history and she looks divine here too!

Such a painfully great movie. With symbols of love, forgiveness, life and death.

Beautiful, beautiful film, with Pfeiffer’s perfect performance at the center of it. The most touching, strange movie I’ve seen in ages.

I love how she hasn’t fallen prey to the typical Hollywood/ Insecure female “I need bigger lips in order to look younger” problem that seems to happen to most women. She’s a natural beauty. She needs nothing to look beautiful.

I have been a huge Michelle Pfeiffer fan for so long I honestly can't remember a time when I had never heard of her. She is exquisite!

Lucas Hedges has a knack of acting alongside female acting legends. First there's Francis McDormand, Nicole Kidman, Meryl Streep and now Michelle Pfeiffer.

I remember seeing her in Ladyhawke in 1985 and thought she had to be the most beautiful woman in the world. Still one of my favorite movies. She is fabulous in anything she does. Can’t wait to see this one.

beautiful film. an aging widow reflects on her days of glamour, and despite making peace with her situation and surroundings, faces death on her own terms for the drama of it all. intriguing, real, in its raw form- ART. 10/10.

How does Michelle not have an Oscar already? Wait, why doesn’t she have like 2 or 3 by now. She’s one of the greats.

Omg! I can't wait for this movie!
FYI: Michelle had a small part in "New Year's Eve" but it was precious. She does deserve an Oscar.
