My Grandfather was at Anzio & participated in the Liberation of Rome as a member of The First Special Service Force (The Black Devil's/ Devil's Brigade).

That's wrong, germans agreed to evacuate rome to save it from damage. Bradley was criticised for going into rome, he disobeyed gen Alexander orders not to enter rome
