Sony Action Cam AS50 and Action Cam AS50R | CES 2016

We talk with Van Nguyen from Sony Electronics about their newest Action Cams, the AS50 and the AS50R at CES 2016. What's changed with this years Action Cam lineup and specifically the AS50? A lot it seems.

There is 4k timelapse and bluetooth connection that is not on the As200v and the new case wich is not curved so alot better in water. And the button to start film/photo is on the top wich is alot more convinient.

Otherwise I cant see that big a difference between them. If they are rougly the same price ofcourse buy the As50 but if the As200v is alot cheaper I would go with that since it is pretty good.

I already have the whole HDR-AS lineup (15, 30V, 100V, 200V, 20) and both RM-LVR1 and RM-LVR2, but still, i m interested in this one as well.
I like the new remote and the camera power-on/off feature with it, plus it has a better shape. I really like the camera's 3x zoom feature and the new case that comes with it.
My question is: does the new remote has a longer range or does it disconnect after a 10m distance like its predecessors? That was the only thing that bugged me when i saw GoPro's long range Smart Remote still communicating with the camera after 150m of range.

Is there by ANY chances that I can turn on the AS50 using my Sony xperia phone? Maybe with additional apps or anything to make it possible. :-)

Want to buy a new Sony action cam after selling my Sony AS20. Can you find out if the Sony AS50 is better or equal to the current Sony AS200? I doubt between those two cams.
