As a kid growing up in the 80s I have to say I feel sorry for my kids because they will never know what it was like to live without the Internet, without cell phones, no social media basically no BS. Riding bikes drinking from the garden hose sitting in the back of the station wagon facing the other way, coming home when the street lights came on. Going to someone’s house and ringing the bell, no texting no DM‘s Michael Jackson Madonna Tears for Fears political division was nonexistent, Americans were Americans we were all Americans, things were just so much better. I just watched a video of Curt & Roland performing this song last year. Closed my eye and I was 27 again. These voices and this song have most definitely stood the test of time. Had a bit of of crush on Curt back then, so had to see an original video. Yep. All has aged well.
Our 33 yr old daughter is a fan and has seen them in concert...outside venue, so can't remember if pre- covid or summer of 2021.
