Thanks for this video! I've been making records for 20 years now and I'm finally seeing the point of getting a mastering engineer to take care of the final step before releasing the record. I am going to give DiscMakers mastering a try on my next release :)

You know a few years ago and I won't name the service but they offer free mastering so you can hear the difference before and after mastering. So I submitted a song to see how different my song would sound with getting it mastered, to tell you the truth the only difference I heard was that it was louder. That's all. I expected more than that...I mean I can turn up the volume with the volume knob. I didn't hear any added bass or whatever else is involved. So I would hate to spend my money and be disappointed in the results. Do you offer a guarantee of some kind. Thanks

What if I want to put my album on vinyl and I want it mastered to sound like 1963? Can you do that?

still didn't explain the difference between "mixing" and "mastering" other than to say it's a DIFFERENT set of ears doing it.... frustrating topic.
