Good on you for discussing the sales tax in the US. Very often people only think about the sticker price, which viewers from other countries do not often understand is incomplete. So when they convert to their currencies, they may not have the fair figures without the tax. It can make things look cheaper than it actually is. What are your thoughts on using Gold drives in surveillance systems like a Unifi UNVR? Do the Purple Pro drives do anything specific or different that would make them better than using a Gold?

Looking for some advice, WD4003FRYZ (WD gold) appears decently cheaper WD4005FZBX ( WD black) is there much difference between these drives and would it be fine to use the gold for desktop use, main storage + some larger games etc. likely daily-weekly power up/down

Between the AI detection on the cameras and the AI detection built in to the nvr software... Somehow i think the purple pro is just marketing buzzwords lol.
