I'm an American truck driver, I watch your videos at night parked in truck stops all over the country. And can say without any doubt, America has the most amazing natural landscape in the world. The only thing that matches the natural beauty, is mother nature. Our weather is incredible, I have went from 70 degrees and sunny, to 20 degrees with a foot of snow on the ground in one day. To me the the 3 most beautiful states in America is Oregon, Montana and South Dakota. Colorado would be number 4. And if you want a great vacation in America, I would suggest the white sand beaches of Destin Florida. It's my favorite place in America.

3:00 Michigan is incredibly beautiful, Daz. It borders four of the five great lakes, plus has a ton of beautiful inland lakes of its own. Incredible forests, quaint coastal beach towns, mountains, waterfalls...a ton of wineries and craft breweries. It has a massive tourist industry. I camped in Petoskey(I say camped, but my parents brought a fancy motorhome). But the entire area was just beautiful.

Alaska chiming in here - if you want a city and then be able to drive just a few minutes and you're in the middle of nature, this is the place. We have world class restaurants you won't find anywhere else, and it's extremely diverse. There are over 100 different languages spoken by students in Anchorage, schools, for example. This makes our culinary options extremely diverse. No one can compare to our wildlife, or scenic views. And if you're coming, come for a couple of weeks. You could spend an entire lifetime up here and never see all of it. No way you can do it justice in a couple of days, or on a cruise. A cruise only shows you a small sliver of the state. It's amazing up here. I've lived all over the US and call this home. And I'm a photographer also. Come on up. I'll take you to all the cool spots. And yes, we drill for oil and have been for over 40 years. Find a video on the transalaska pipeline to view. Alaska is 6 times larger than the entire UK.

Michigan is my favorite place to visit. Its gorgeous. I grew up there, and live in Florida now, which is a nice place to live, but nothing beats michigan in the summer.

I lived in Oregon for 12 years...got to travel all through it and Washington. Pictures don't even do it justice. It is breath taking. Grew up in California...the most amazing coasts on the planet.

One of the most beautiful regions that wasn't mentioned about Washington, is the San Juan Islands.
Most people who travel across the Cascade Mountains in Washington take I-90, but the more scenic routes across are Highway 20 (North Cascades Highway), which you will go by Diablo Lake and into Winthrop, which is a really cool small old town to visit.
The other route is Highway 2, which takes you to Leavenworth and along the Wenatchee River.

Oregon is the same size as England. and we have ocean, deserts, rain forests, regular forests, grass lands, and wonderful mountains for skiing.
