@SilverCloverClips Only these, some of the older PNY 465's, and some of the PoV 465's are known to unlock. The best way to tell is to take off the cooler and see if it has all 10 ram chips and/or the gf100-275 GPU. If it has the gf100-030 GPU, it can't be unlocked. Even if it has all 10 chips.

@demonsblood All of the Golden Edition MSI cards will unlock.

$300 MSI Golden Edition does cost about $50 more regular GTX 465. GTX 270 cost about $300-350. So I dont think MSI losing anything, consider its limited edition gtx 465.

@LinusTechTips There are some that have been found with actual 465 gpus on them and some with 8 mem chips. They seem to be the 400's # and being sold in countries outside the US.

@nflavour I don't think so as it's flashing the bios. They'd have to release an update that flashes the bios to a firmware that rejects further flashing of the bios. If they were to do this, it would be high risk as flashing the bios can brick cards. So long story short, no, I don't think they will.

@kristjanmn No. the 460 is a different gpu than the 480, 465, and 470.

if you break the VGA BIOS for flashing, you can revive it with another VGA (PCI or IGP). Using the same commands to flash BIOS, the card dead will live again (personal experience: XFX6200A-LE)
