Iced is available now on Blu-ray from Degausser Video!

A group of friends head off for a fun-filled getaway in the snowy mountains, where they’ve unexpectedly been offered a free stay at a luxury ski resort. Once they arrive at their cabin, however, the high spirits are soon dampened when they discover a newspaper clipping concerning the tragic death of their friend Jeff during a ski trip four years earlier - it’s clear that someone holds the group responsible for the accident. Sure enough, as the friends settle in for a cozy winter vacation full of skiing, sexual intrigue, and naked cocaine binges, a mysterious figure in ski gear and cracked goggles stalks the surroundings, intent on picking them off one by one in a variety of gruesome ways.

The directorial debut of Jeff Kwitny, who would go on to helm 1989’s Beyond the Door III, ICED - which began life under the title “Blizzard of Blood” - is a deliriously entertaining snowbound slasher penned by and starring Berserker (1987) star Joseph Alan Johnson, alongside a scene-stealing performance from Lisa Loring, the original Wednesday Addams. Featuring an astonishing amount of bare skin and a host of fun kills - including death by jacuzzi, icicle, and a glacially-paced snow plow - ICED is at long last thawed out by Degausser Video for its Blu-ray world premiere, newly restored from the best available tape master and loaded with a wealth of brand new bonus features.

Humanity regrets the fact that tons of movies were recorded on VHS tapes.
Now we could have at least 1080p instead of the poor 240p.

Got the limited VHS today and will be snagging the Blu-ray soon as well. A winter slasher favorite of mine that I’m glad is at least getting some love with cool packaging and new artwork. True, not hi-def, but we have video nostalgia and charm given some new life, and I’m here for it.

This is what im talking bout VS! Finally going back to your roots and releasing the good ones. Preordered Iced, Street Trash, Crackhouse and Virtuosity. Tbh I haven`t bought that many new films day one in a very very long time. Their used to be a time where every single new release I would buy. It isn`t quite back to that yet(far as my tastes go) but looks like its heading back in that direction.

Disappointing Blu-Ray. How does the VHS tape look significantly better. What a shame

Is this the "restored" version? Why bother with Blu-ray when an EP VHS seems to be the source? Yikes, VS.

This could be released in DVD for a lower price, VS Money Grabbers!

Horrible picture quality. It will be hilarious when another label eventually puts out an HD version. Then all the VS cult members will start regretting their panic purchase
