It always shocks me how little people that "professionally" work with resin give info about it. Resin is incredibly toxic. It is best to work with it indoors but with a really good respirator mask and in a highly ventilated area. A mask on TV would prevent us from hearing instructions, but they still should have used one each. Also, I'm shocked she didn't somehow elevate the countertop off the table because the pooled run-off will most likely harden and won't look nice, and then you would have to use a tool to take it off. It may drip while it's drying if it's elevated, too, so to prevent resin "icicles" as it's drying, you may have to check on it often and keep scraping that away. To prevent dust from falling in it, you may want to cover over top of it as well. Dust is usually inevitable, though. Another thing that a lot of people don't know is, sure a heat gun works, some people also like to use torches if they're comfortable with fire (it may be more effective and faster than a small heat gun) but rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle also works for popping bubbles and is often used on resin counters. I find rubbing alcohol works well if you are really not comfy with fire, and it's a trick used in soapmaking too to also get bubbles out to get a professional finish. I hope this helps anyone who is thinking of attempting this DIY and keeps you all safe!
