Custom Flip Top VW Funny Bug with 327 Chevy

We ran across this wild custom built flip top bug at the Mid America Street Rod Nationals while filming the AutoCross. While we didn't get much footage of it in action we did get to catch up with the builder and find out a little bit about the build. Cool part was, unlike a normal funny car, the seat and interior of the car actually go up with the body of the car leaving just the exposed drivetrain when the body is up.

didn't see the autocross coming but good on ya for the diversity, keep it coming. Mark my words, we will see this type of setup in Street/grudge racing before long, just a matter of time.

That is THE coolest thing I've seen in a long time! Wow he out some work into that thing, and it scooted around the autocross fairly swiftly too
