I watch a lot of these archeology videos and they remind me of some ancient artifacts I saw in a woman's house I stayed at on hunting trips in the mountains of WV. The house was built in 1869 when the village was settled. There was an ivory ball carved with figurines of people, houses and animals. Inside was another just like it and another inside of that one. An elephant tusk carved into a Japanese woman covered in roses. An ancient stone statue. A huge brass or copper Buddha head. A round metal table with groves in it and some animals stacked 3 on top of each other at 4 places around the edge all metal. She was the matriarch of the village that still practices Swiss traditions. I had pictures of the items. Even the items from 1869 were intriguing. A wood cook stove that covered the entire wall. It looked brand new.
