The Irish know what oppression is like! We stand together!

I think the Irish do this because they know what the Palestinians and even Syrian feel like. They know what life is like under occupation. God bless Ireland.

The word Boycott originated in Ireland too, we were the first people to use this tactic to protest evictions by British landlords in the 1800's

In Ireland we are against the genocide being perpetrated by Israel, we are not against jewish people or any religion,
but we know what it's like to have your land stolen by a foreign oppressor and to have your people starved and murdered and driven from your homeland, it's natural that we can identify with the Palestinians.

The Irish understand the feeling of being oppressed. That's why they're supporting Palestinian. Thank you fellow Irish brothers and sisters! <3

I am Irish and I am horrified at the massacre taking place in Gaza and the oppression of the Palestinian people. It reminds me so much of our own countries struggles for independence in 1798 and 1916. Those Irishmen were called terrorists once just like Hamas. But they fought and fought and finally we won our independence from the British empire. Stay strong Palestine

We also had a boycott of South African goods during apartheid, started by a young retail worker, who was personally thanked by Nelson Mandela, our local football team hosts kids from Gaza every year

God bless Ireland...as a black South African your morality is truly beautiful. With all the other European people not understanding-you still stand by your beliefs that we are all equal. Truly brothers in the fight!

As a former receptionist of a Dutch hotel in Amsterdam, I agree that Irish people are one of the most tolerant and respectful guests we had

Ireland have been through this. They know what it feels like.

Also the Irish have a very strong moral compass. A country of heros.

Coming from an Indian who was born and raised in the United States, the Irish will always have my undying respect for recognizing Palestine and being more vocal about it than any other EU country.
