You really think he "allowed" himself to be filmed? He was a prisoner. He had no choice.

A rat?!? Rudel was severely wounded at that time and enabled his squadron to survive. None of the warring factions denied him respect.

My vegetable grocer is also a fanatical nazi. But Rudel was the most successful ground attack aviator of the war including 520 Tanks and a Battleship

No, this most decorated officer of all the German airmen is not a rat who leaves the ship.
It is rather the comment of a rat who is attached to this video iI surrendered because he understood that the war was over and that his country was defeated militarily.
If he surrendered to the Americans, it is because he knew that they respected the Geneva Convention relative to prisoners of war unlike the Soviets who made a living hell for the German pilots prisoners,
Thus Erich hartmann the ace with 352 victories at 22 years of age spent 10 years in captivity under very hard conditions, subjected to brutality and released only thanks to the intervention of chancellor Adenauer.
The Russians resented him for his victories .
No Hans Rudel served his country loyally, he had sworn an oath for it, he had the misfortune to be born and to have 20 years in a bad period of Germany.
He was not a bomber pilot, he was a fighter pilot.
His life was at stake loyally in every mission against a formidable adversary whether on Spitfire, on American plane or Russian plane .
It is because he was in the vanquished camp that we have such dishonest comments as this one.
The pilots of the Allied bombers, who bombarded Dresden in waves on 13 February 1943 on a carnival day and killed 125, 000 civilians, have never been criticized!
They have never been prosecuted and some even decorated...

Wasn't a fighter pilot. Was a Ju-87 pilot with an amazing track record.

Oh! how times have changed! His alleged politics would endear him to a large number of folk today, given what the disgusting alternatives are...

The Americans asked for his advice when they were developing the A10 Warthog. He was the most successful ground attack fighter of all time.

I knew that man via my father. He was missing a leg but was an outstanding skier with just one leg. He was an outstanding overall sportsman even with just one leg which I found impressing. My impression was that he was a man with good behaviour and an extremely disciplined man. Did You know him to be so sure about his character? Life taught me not to judge people before knowing them and then coming to my own independent conclusion. If You don t know anything good about a Person just shut Your trap, maybe people could judge You by Your rude behaviour behind the backs of others and talk bad about You behind Your back as well😂. It s always the same doubtful characters behaving like You do. Didn t Your parents teach You some basic manners??
As far as I know his experience as the best combat Pilot ever was highly apreciated by the American Airforce. Would You have prefered that he had handed his truly outstanding knowledge about aerial combat over to the Russians??. He was no traitor, that s why he didn t do that. Imagine how much the Russian Gouvernment would have paid for his knowledge!
My farher would be 105 years old in 2025, over a century has passed. I loved my father as the humble, honest, hard working person he was. When he got up at 4 a.m. his first thought was the well being of his children. O.k., talk bad about him- I know better❤.

He might have been a War hero, but at the end of the day, he fought for and represented a corrupt organisation that inflicted untold misery on millions of innocent people
