Most of our wood was white pine.

Both of the horse logging crews we have who cut for the mill trim up their bells. The skidder crews can't be bothered.

you make pallets out of oak and barns out of poplar? Here in Germany we'd rather use the oak for the barn and poplar for pallets ;)
