Tim Scott did not say that marginalized people don't need help. He said that you don't have to be EXCEPTIONAL to be SUCCESSFUL. This is the difference between a growth mindset and a fixed mindset. A growth mindset says that I can improve any environment where I participate. A fixed mindset says I can only do X because of who I am.

Briahna needs to differentiate between "racism" vs. "systemic racism"

I hate how Sunny asks a person a question, and if she doesn't like the answer she's getting, she will act all smug and condescending and keep interrupting the person and not let them answer. I wish someone at ABC would tell Sunny on how inappropriate and unprofessional that kind of behavior is for a television host.

Think of it this way… there might not be as many black senators because you continue to tell black children and young adults that they can’t do it. Stop!!

Bri can’t let go of the victim-hood narrative.

Me being black, I have apathy toward any kind of racism. The more you care about the negative, the more it becomes a problem in your life. I take all blame and responsibility for what happens in my life because as soon as something else is to blame, that person or situation has the power. It hurt me seeing a black woman on TV thinking so much that white people made us so weak while sitting on a platform talking to what looks like, a white man. Just don’t really get it. Stop caring about white people hating you and being unfair

How about inviting Tim Scott to the show?

Tim Scott, just smacked some doubt in their own minds...He tried to reach out to them, and I hope he did. These ladies spread way too much hate throughout this country! He handled them perfectly. I would vote for him!

The gymnastics Brie is jumping through here is pretty impressive. I score 8.5 for technical trickery, but the dismount was shakey.

Holy cow, good for him! I didn’t think anybody could shut those women up.

I am a conservative and racism def still exists. I agree with Ben Shapiro and you basically have to call it out when it happens and address it. You cannot just yell boogey man at everything.

man we as Americans don’t give each other enough grace on the progress we’ve made as a country.

How EXACTLY is Robbie supposed to add anything here? Hes not allowed to, can we acknowledge that? Its not fair when one of two hosts is made silent by social rules we all know exist but wont acknowledge.

Yeah. Telling black kids they don't stand a chance, that the deck is stacked against them in all things, is a powerful message. And you can see how helpful it's been.

So Robby provides a common sense definition of "systemic racism" and Briahna rejects the notion out of hand but never provides an alternate definition. And that's the rub. If you never define it, you can always claim it.

He did leave sonny in silence. Not easy to do

I’m a Glenn Loury subscriber. His argument puts Bri’s in the dustbin.

BJG is getting quite good at false equivalency and strawman arguments lately. In this case, she ignores her own privileged background

A lot of people, if not most, who argue there isn't enough representation of Group X or Group Y in a particular space seem to forget what the word 'minority' means...
