On Friday, Jessica Simpson appeared on ‘Tamron Hall’ and explained why she won’t watch ‘Framing Britney Spears.’ Jessica, who is married and shares three children with Eric Johnson, also opened up about her ex, John Mayer. In her 2020 memoir, ‘Open Book,’ the singer explains that the two split after he told ‘Playboy’ she was ‘sexual napalm.’ But on Friday, she said she doesn’t need an apology from him anymore.

Jessica literally said it is tough living in a world where everyone judges her and she doesn't want to go back to that. Now, read all the judgmental, bullying comments below. Talk about a bunch of rude jerks.

John Mayor is disrespectful and distasteful...who talks about someone sexually...someone with a very low self esteem who needs to feel relevant!

When I was 16 (20 years ago - omg omg omg) at an autograph signing I yelled “I LOVE YOU JESSICA!!” (Everyone else was screaming for 98 degrees lol) and she looked at me in the eyes - so surprised - and happy - and SO kindly replied “Oh my gosh, thank you so much. I love you too!” She was gentle. I can see why and how she is broken, as well as many other female (and male!) pop stars from the early 2000’s. I wish her all the best and I hope she finds peace if she hasn’t yet.

Sooo Jessica Simpson poured her soul out in her book where she covers how awful she has been body shamed and bullied online and this comment section is full of.... more body shaming. Let's all try to be kind??

I’m glad Jessica chooses not to watch the movie to protect herself. Smart.

I remember thinking Jessica's life was too controlled by her family. I can see her really understanding what's happening. She still seems to be going through somethings.

To me, being famous would feel like a curse, a trap, no privacy, no freedom.

Y'all leaving the hateful comments about Jessica need to stop. No human being is built to withstand a tsunami of praise and criticism all at once, especially when one already had underlying mental struggles or past abuse.

Not trying to throw shade but in the past few years Demi Lovato has been through things that in my opinion are much more concerning than what Britney did 13 years ago and no one is trying to put her in a conservatorship. I love Demi but it seems something is wrong if a judge can see that and think that Britney is incapable of living her own life.

Omg Britney is almost 40 she has almost lived half her life. And they are still making her live like this?

This is what my antidepressants make me sound like sometimes. I wouldn’t judge her.

Jessica is still struggling herself, and she’s doing good to worry about herself.

When I was diagnosed with severe depression in my late teens I was put on so many drugs that had a huge impact on my speech. My movements were slow as well and people thought I was high, drunk or something. Antidepressants are no joke they’ll literally change your entire normal behaviour. Thank god I stopped taking them and do yoga, meditation, jogging etc. It took me years to come off of those drugs but I don’t know Jessica’s situation but if she’s battling addiction they’ll subscribe you medication. I really think they gave her antidepressants instead.

I'm proud of her for telling her story. Nothing will change if we don't all share our stories.

Now, why on earth did ET use a side by side of two different times of those pop stars lives? They showed Britney's debut video and a video Jessica made five or six years after her debut. Come on now. They're still using toxic comparisons....

I remember when I was in high school in the nineties, the first time When Britney Spears first came out with her single, and all the boy bands, Jessica Simpson and many others were just coming out. I remember how so many were obsessed with these singers. We all will see them on TV, or concert, and buy their CDs. Their lives look perfect from the outside in, and glamorous. Now years later, I see that they're just normal, like the rest of us. We never know what someone faces behind the scenes. They're more relatable now, and so glad that they're sharing with us their lives, their struggles. I've seen different documentaries on things, about boy bands, behind the scenes of what fame or having fame, is like. Sucks that they gone through some of the bad things, but so many can also learn and be encourage by their stories and giving the audience a glimpse into their lives. It helps us to get a better idea of celebs, that they're people too, like us.

It’s like she’s having a hard time speaking, because she got her lips done before the interview. Regularly I don’t care about that stuff, but I could barely understand her. It’s like she’s a little tipsy and swearing but she’s not.

Those lips... Good lord she can barley talk right. She's so naturally beautiful and doesn't need that crap.

The Bible says ( in different words than mine) when you're getting rejection, leave it and move on from it. Dust your shoes off and move on. Dust your shoes off means to completely leave it behind you and move on. Jessica has dusted her shoes off from her past. She wants no reminders of her bad days when she was vulnerable and taken advantage of. It's very therapeutic to leave the past in the past, once you've accepted it as part of your past. I love that girl. Always have. I still watch The Newly Weds on U Tube. I can't help it, I just love her so much.
